Every road has a story. Sometimes it’s found in a forgotten roadside diner, an abandoned railroad yard, a cigar on a quiet porch, or a conversation with someone you haven’t seen in years. This is where I’ll be posting photographs, videos, sketches, and journal entries from my 3,500-mile journey up the East Coast—a collection of moments that rarely make it into the guidebooks but are often the ones remembered the longest. Road Trip Route

Starting from Clearwater, Florida, the trip headed north, with stops in Raleigh NC, Roanoke VA, New Paltz NY, Ticonderoga NY, South Salem NY, Altoona PA, Canton GA, Savannah GA, Apalachicola FL, and home. Old Car City

In White, Georgia is a fabulous mecca for car enthusiasts: Old Car City. Acres and acres of wrecked classic cars in the woods, connected by walking trails. Thousands of cars, and the unofficial Old car City Theme video, created just for The Roadside Notebook!

Mohonk Mountain Hike

Mohonk Mountain, in New Paltz New York has a difficult rock climbing course called The Labyrinth, which ends with what’s known as the “Lemon Squeeze”. Come along for this hike without having to leave the comfort of your easy chair. (length: 6:57)
