If you go

Seen something on the site that made you want to slam on the brakes and pull over? Good!
This page collects links and info for many of the roadside stops, attractions, oddities, and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it places featured throughout the Notebook. Fill the tank, grab some snacks, and keep your eyes open.

Old Car City – Part junkyard, part folk-art wonderland, Old Car City USA is 34 acres of classic cars, Southern atmosphere, and nature slowly reclaiming chrome, steel, and stories. With more than 4,400 American-made vehicles from the 1970s and earlier, it’s a dream stop for photographers, car lovers, and anyone who thinks rust has character.
The Sea Hagg – A treasure chest of nautical oddities, antiques, and coastal character, The Sea Hagg was the kind of place you could drive past for years—then finally step inside and wonder why you waited so long. Though the original shop has closed, its spirit sails on through Jan Holman’s continuing work, including the Sea Hagg Inn in historic Cortez.
